Lead-free solder for aluminum bonding that is resistant to galvanic corrosion
Bonding aluminum with copper has been considered difficult due to the occurrence of galvanic corrosion in the joint.
Although bonding can be performed using regular lead-free solder, the joint corrodes with time, causing deterioration in strength.
ALUSAC-35 is a lead-free solder for aluminum bonding that exhibits strong resistance to galvanic corrosion, thereby maintaining joint strength over a long period.
Bonding (soldering) of aluminum wires and copper terminals
Bonding (soldering) of aluminum wires and copper terminals
Small-diameter aluminum cables are generally bonded to copper terminals by a pressure bonding method known as caulking.
However, for wider-diameter cables, caulking is not enough to ensure joint strength. Therefore, we recommend performing soldering to ensure that the joint does not break due to vibration, etc.
